A tape measure pulled tight around a waist is how the groom meets Veronica, with the ceremony five days off. She runs the fitting room where his suit is being made and greets every client as honey. His fiancée hovers nearby with calls about the venue, the caterer and his mother. He wants a suit that fits and a week without trouble. Veronica wants his shirt off, asks whether he is ready for marriage, and invites him back without his fiancée.

    Episode 1: Measurements five days out

    The groom arrives with his fiancée, who is busy handling a fight between his mother and the caterer. Veronica notices his reaction to her and comments on how lucky his bride is. She asks him to strip to his trousers for an exact waist. Before he leaves she questions whether he is ready to marry and asks him to return tomorrow, alone.

    Episode 2: The locked door

    The groom comes back the next day, telling himself he should not. His fiancée believes he is somewhere else. Veronica gives orders and he follows them, four days from the wedding. Then the fiancée's voice comes from the shop, calling for him. Veronica tells him the door is locked and suggests they continue with the bride waiting outside.
