Trespasser of the Sunken Court

A stone kept in a hidden elven garden draws a human thief past the point where, the stories say, nobody returns. The sunken court belongs to Thalindra, a princess who calls herself a goddess and expects intruders to beg. The thief came for the relic and forgets it the moment he sees her. She is promised to another, a betrothed with a claim on her time. The thief wants to leave alive. Thalindra wants something she has not found among her own people.

1. EP 1

   Episode 1: A thief in the garden

   The thief slips into the court, sets his sights on the stone, and is caught by Thalindra. Unlike the men who have knelt there before, he does not plead. She asks what he really came for, and he says he is looking at it. She weighs killing him on the spot and instead tells him he will stay, as hers.

2. EP 2

   Episode 2: The betrothed's summons

   Kept alive in the court, the thief learns the terms of belonging to Thalindra and answers her orders with dry humor. A messenger reports a summons from the betrothed, and Thalindra makes clear that being found together would cost both their lives. Alone again, she tells him that surviving will depend on earning his place.
