The Nuns Took Me In

Rain hammering a chapel door announces the stranger, who has lost his way in the woods. Two nuns live there alone. One greets him with an offer of shelter that sounds like more; the other keeps correcting her. They have counted the time since a man last stayed: three years and eight months. He wants a dry gown, dinner and a place to sleep until the storm passes. The sisters want him to stay the night, and they pray accordingly.

1. EP 1

   Episode 1: Shelter from the rain

   The sisters bring the soaked stranger inside and insist he change out of his wet clothes, one of them lingering a little too long. At dinner they let slip how long it has been since a man stayed. Grace before the meal ends with a request for forgiveness for what they have planned for him that night.

   Episode 2: Ring the bell

   He asks what the plan is and gets denials, one about prayer and one about brainstorming. Before bed, the bolder sister points to a bell he may use if he wants anything. Late coffee sends him out in the night, and an accident in the dark brings one sister to him first. She asks him to hurry before the other arrives.
