Episode by episode

A massage table unfolds in the house on the day of Dan and Lauren's anniversary. Lauren has booked Veronica, a therapist with a months-long waiting list, for deep tissue and hot stones, and she plans to work in the next room. Dan feels guilty because his own gift was a candle. He intends to relax as instructed. Veronica, told that he struggles to unwind, has her own idea of what release means.

    The therapist arrives with stones and oils, and Lauren insists the day belongs to him before going next door. Veronica asks where to focus and hears his shoulders mentioned. Lauren looks in to ask whether he is behaving and which candle scent he prefers. Veronica then hands him a towel and tells him to wear nothing else.

    Episode 2: No ring on the table

    Questions about rings, injuries and range of motion come first, and Lauren answers some of them from the doorway. When Lauren comes looking for a charger, Veronica shuts the door, saying the heat must stay in the room. She remarks on his bare hand, asks him to turn over and tells Lauren he is very tense, reminding both what the booking covers.
