Staycation with My Fiancee's Mother

An engagement ring Sophie has not yet shown her mother in person comes with them to the family house by the lake. Jake proposed recently and still cannot quite believe she said yes. Veronica Parker greets them, mentions what she has heard about him and announces dinner in twenty minutes. Sophie's father is held up and will arrive later. Jake hopes to win over the family; Veronica wants something else from her future son-in-law.

1. EP 1

   Episode 1: One dance for the son-in-law

   Dinner opens with a toast to the couple and a week with nothing planned. Sophie goes to bed early, and Veronica asks Jake for a dance. She tells him to breathe, reminds him he will soon be family and promises she is harmless, for one night anyway. Jake leaves the room more rattled than he lets on.

   Episode 2: Sophie called away

   Jake excuses himself and goes to bed shaken. In the morning Sophie is gone, called to town for work until evening. Veronica asks him to help her hold a stretch and praises how well he does it, then heads for the shower and invites him along. When he hesitates outside the door, she calls him in.
