Episode by episode

A moving van parked outside a family house belongs to Rory's best friend, who has been asked to help Amanda clear it out after her divorce. Rory is away until he flies home on Friday and has told him to look after his mother through a rough year. The house sells at the end of the week, and a woman handling the sale keeps bringing viewers through. Amanda is sorting twenty years of belongings into keep or toss. Her husband never noticed her, she says, and she wants to be noticed now.

    Rory's friend arrives and Amanda remarks on how much he has changed. While they sort clothes she holds up a piece her husband ignored for twenty years and tells him to close his eyes, then look. A viewing interrupts, and a visitor eyes the helper. In Rory's old room, Rory calls and his friend assures him his mother is fine.

    Packing moves to Amanda's bedroom with the sale set for Friday. Tamsin flirts openly with the helper and offers him work of her own, and Amanda tells her to back off. Alone again, Amanda says that in two decades nobody has made her feel desired and uses her son's request to look after her as her argument.
