A data chip carried in a jacket pocket is all Olivia Carter is supposed to touch. She moves memories for clients in a city where everyone buys and sells them, and she lives by one rule: never open the cargo. Sable, who knows her work, teases her for being afraid and dares her to try one dive. The memory belongs to a man named Kael. Olivia wants to stay safe and keep working. Sable wants to see her break the rule. What Kael wants from her is not yet clear.

    Episode 1: One dive

    Olivia repeats her rule about never opening what she carries, and Sable dares her anyway. She dives. Inside the memory she lives through an intimate night with Kael, who asks her not to look away. Then he says her full name, and she surfaces with two questions: where he learned it, and what her presence in his past means.

  2. EP 2

    Episode 2: The file can wait

    A warning comes to bring the chip back and never dive it again. Olivia returns to Kael's memory, where he talks as if only the two of them exist. Outside it, she learns he vanished a year ago and was erased from the system, and she suspects a megacorp is behind the job. She finds a file, and Sable brushes it aside.
