A car horn interrupting a turtle-protection rally gets Kayla's attention and not in a good way. Her stepbrother Cole has been told to look after her while her mother and his father are away for the week. Kayla tells her friend Tess that Cole is a creep and not her type. Cole openly stares at her and does not hide it. She wants him to stop. He wants her to admit she does not entirely mind.
