Thin walls carry every sound from Ben's room into the rest of the apartment. Ben's girlfriend Sadie, twenty-three, stays over each weekend and has decided Nate is unbearable, too cocky and too often in a towel. Nate likes Ben but finds him dull, and he tells her so. Sadie wishes Nate would move out. Nate wants her to admit that sweet is not what she is after, and he is willing to wait.

    Morning coffee comes with a comment about the night before and how little she seemed to enjoy it. Sadie tells Nate to shut up; he says Ben is boring and that she wants someone who takes charge. Ben checks that Sadie may stay until Monday, and Nate says yes, adding that she knows where to find him.

    Episode 2: Water at two a.m.

    Near two a.m. Sadie appears in the kitchen, barely dressed, claiming thirst. Nate needles her about Ben falling short. She dares him to say what she wants, and he describes putting her on the counter while Ben sleeps. Ben calls out, she answers that she is getting water, and then she tells Nate to go ahead.
