A bottle of wine opened for a first family dinner sits on the table when the boyfriend arrives, already nervous about making a good impression. Three weeks earlier he spent one night with a woman he never saw again and has thought about it since. His girlfriend promises her mother will love him. The mother is that woman, married to Frank, a husband who rarely notices anything at home. She wants the night to continue. He wants to keep his relationship and his secret intact.

1. EP 1

   Episode 1: The face across the table

   The girlfriend brings him home and introduces her mother, who steps away for wine and then corners him in the kitchen. She asks whether he truly fails to recognize her. He does now. She sets terms: he keeps dating her daughter and keeps her satisfied as well, or the daughter hears about that night. He leaves the meeting as the mother's secret.

2. EP 2

   Episode 2: Frank comes home

   Frank walks in asking for the good scotch, and the mother tells the boyfriend her husband sees nothing. She orders him to her room that night and makes him zip her dress while the others wait just outside. He says it has to end. She repeats the time, after Frank falls asleep around ten, and he goes to her door anyway.

   The arrangement is now nightly and sits one room away from the daughter. What stays open is how long Frank stays blind and whether the boyfriend ever says no and means it.
