A cooler that nobody can find sets the family scene: Emma's mother points under the table while Emma brings Noah to the lake house for his first weekend with her people. Emma has left out one detail, her older sister Riley, who is a famous name and does not hide it. Riley asks him to rub lotion on her back and dares him into the water. Noah hopes to pass as a decent match in front of the parents. Riley wants to find out whether he is worth keeping for her sister.

    Noah meets Riley at the house and is told, half joking, that she might ruin him. She hands him the sunscreen while Emma stands a few steps away, then challenges him to dive in. A brush in the water may or may not be an accident. She closes with a family rule about what happens at the lake and an offer to test it.

    With Emma inside the house, Riley tells Noah to stop staring at her, which only makes it worse. Emma calls him to bed. Riley takes something of his and makes him chase it, leading him to the spot where, she says, every boyfriend runs. Then his phone rings with Emma's name on it, and Riley insists he pick up, saying she is in no hurry.
