A slide deck still open on a screen after hours is the reason the new intern cannot go home. Damian Kane, her billionaire employer, has told her plainly that she stays until the presentation is finished. He likes formality from his staff and then asks for its opposite. She wants the job and the promotion that could follow it. He wants to see how far she will step out of line on his request, and what she will ask for in return.

Episode 1: Say my name
Kane keeps the intern at her desk until the work is done. She hands it over and calls him by his surname. He asks for his name, hears the formal version, and asks again. The episode ends the second time she answers, with Damian, and the office feels very different afterward.

Episode 2: A price for promotion
The intern does the arithmetic out loud: sleeping with the man above her could earn the next title. She falters over saying it. Kane tells her modesty is pointless at this stage, and the scene leaves the offer resting between them, unspoken in its details but clear in its terms.
