Episode by episode

A slip on the icy step outside, caught just in time, is how the first couple reach the door of Lodge 69. Inside they find a second couple holding the same reservation. The rental office has no other rooms, and the road down the mountain is closed. Four adults, two bedrooms and one hot tub will have to do. Brad plans to ski every hour he can. His wife has other plans and a clear eye on the other husband.

    The couples discover the shared reservation, call for help and learn that no rooms are left and the road is shut. One husband shrugs that four adults can manage. Bedrooms are divided, a charger goes missing downstairs, and Brad hunts for his goggles. His wife remarks that he will be skiing all day tomorrow, within the other man's hearing.

    Brad heads for the first chair at nine and expects company. The other husband stays behind, claiming the drive wore him out, and Brad's wife says she is sick. Once the skiers leave, she proposes the hot tub. He retreats toward a shower, reminding her that his own wife is inside. She counts seven hours until Brad returns.
