Episode by episode

A long driveway leads to the desert estate of Marcus Voss, the billionaire who holds Dana's promotion to VP in his hands. Dana brings her fiancé, Jake, and asks him to stay invisible for the week. Marcus's wife, Vanessa, greets them by the pool and promises to take good care of Jake. Marcus has watched men stare at his wife for years. Jake wants to help Dana win. Marcus wants to know whether Jake will tell the truth.

    Dana coaches Jake to stay out of the way. Vanessa welcomes him at the pool, and Marcus summons him for a talk, just the men. Marcus says every man who comes to the house stares at his wife and most lie about it. He asks one blunt question, and Jake, already stammering an apology, realizes that this is the real test.

    Marcus explains the game he and Vanessa have played on every retreat for a decade, setting the terms: Marcus alone makes the offer, nothing happens in the main house, Jake gets the casita, and Dana must stay ignorant.
