Episode by episode

A flag raised outside a house is the signal on Candy Lane. The husbands leave for eight hours every workday, and a flag means a wife needs something fixed. The plumber does his rounds. The first house belongs to Harriet, married to his own brother, whose kitchen pipe keeps leaking even after the plumber tightened the fitting. The wives want attention their husbands do not give. The plumber wants to keep his brother out of it.

Episode 1: The leak that came back
The plumber stops at Harriet's house to look at a kitchen pipe he thought he had fixed. She suggests the fitting worked itself loose and mentions her husband is useless with tools. Water sprays while she holds the flashlight, and both end up soaked. With the sink done, she tells him he is going to see to her next.

Episode 2: Two neighbors at the door
Harriet admits her husband would be unhappy if he knew, then says she does not care. She steps out and comes back with Mrs. Vance and Mrs. Morello, both impatient since breakfast. The rule, they explain, is that each house on the lane gets its share. Harriet claims the first turn with the others watching, and then he will handle all three.
