A booked appointment, made by Tessa without much discussion, brings Jake into a therapist's office he never wanted to visit. Tessa believes their love life has stalled; the couple sleep together about once a month, and she is the one who always starts it. Jake thinks he is the patient being fixed. Margot Vey runs the sessions with a calm voice and very direct questions. She wants each of them to show, not tell, what happens between them at home.

She has them both stand and asks Tessa to show what Jake gets to see, until Tessa is visibly shaking. Margot then demands a private session with Jake, not on Thursday but right away.
