A wooden sign at the gate says something the husband never quite reads. A friend named Brody told them the place was a family campground, quiet, by the lake. The husband and Diana set up next to a friendly couple who offer help with the awning and explain that the fire is shared by everyone. The husband wants a calm weekend and a tent that stands. Diana is curious, and the neighbors want both newcomers to learn the local customs quickly.

    The couple pitches next to a pair who greet them warmly and joke about the tight spot. The neighbor's wife offers to help with the awning. Around the shared fire, Diana notices the attention the neighbors pay them and says she enjoyed it. At quiet hours the neighbor's wife tells the husband she knows he wants her, and that she would like to watch.

    Morning brings an offer of shared power, a tour of the dump station and questions about whether the two couples have gotten together yet. The neighbor rubs sunscreen into Diana's back while her husband looks on. That night, after quiet hours are called, Diana points out that nobody said anything about staying still, and asks the neighbor's wife to show her husband something.
